Philadelphia: strike shuts down Catholic high schools

A Philadelphia Catholic teachers’ union strike has now shut down 17 archdiocesan Catholic high schools. Citing the “unique issues facing Catholic schools,” the archdiocese has rejected two union requests for mediation.
