California diocese may purchase Crystal Cathedral

The Diocese of Orange has announced that it may make a bid to purchase Crystal Cathedral, the 3,000-seat Protestant church built by televangelist Robert Schuller.
A diocesan spokesman told the Orange County Register that the diocese would abandon its plans to construct a new cathedral if the purchase were completed.

Don't know if we want God to be able to look though all that glass and see what is going on in Catholic churches...:)

Actually, it would be appropriate. Their TV theme hymn, the great old Protestant one, How Great Thou Art, having firmly entered the Catholic repertoire.

Either way, Catholic churches haven't looked like Catholic churches in so long....
