Delaware prosecutors move to close abortion clinics where indicted doctor worked

April 19, 2011

Following up on the murder charge filed against an abortionist in Philadelphia, prosecutors in Delaware are moving against two abortion clinics with which the indicted doctor was affiliated.

Authorities charge that the two clinic owners should have known that Kermit Gosnell operated under unhygienic conditions and kept inadequate records, and that he killed babies who survived his abortion attempts. (Gosnell has been charged with killing several babies and one mother at a clinic in Philadelphia.)

At one of the Delaware clinics, the owner listed herself as the resident gynecologist, although she had no license.
