Catholic Recipe: Noodle Cake with Apples
Also Called: Apfelnudel
DIRECTIONS
Cook noodles; drain. Combine noodles with eggs, lemon juice, raisins, sugar. Line bottom of pie plate with half of pastry. Fill with noodle mixture. Top with apples. Cover with rest of pastry; flute edges. Brush with beaten egg. Cut slits in top crust to allow steam to escape. Bake 1 hour at 400°. Yield, 6 servings
