Feasts (1)

Description:

This litany in honor of St. Anne is venerable with age, and has repeatedly been approved for private devotion. In fragments of a Medieval English litany St. Anne is fondly called "Patroness of the childless," "Model of married women and mothers," "Mother of the poor," "Patroness of laborers," "Help of the pregnant." Another litany in honor of St. Anne, can be found in the Paulist Press booklet, Prayers to Saint Ann, with Novena arranged for Congregational Use, 1940, imprimatur of Cardinal Hayes. Another is included in Our Favorite Devotions, compiled by Monsignor Lings (Benziger Bros., 1897).
