PASSIVE UNITIVE WAY

Also called the mystic unitive way, it is characterized by an overpowering influence of divine grace beyond anything possible through the ordinary forms of prayer. It is called passive because the soul is, as it were, powerless to act on its own initiative but is attracted willingly by God to himself in an irresistible way.
