A consecrated Host for distribution in Holy Communion, or even a fragment of the Eucharistic species. The Catholic faith teaches as defined doctrine that "in the venerable sacrament of the eucharist, the whole Christ is contained under each species and under each and every part of either species that is separated from the rest" (Denzinger 1653).
