International Catholic organization, founded in 1920 in Glasgow, Scotland, for the spiritual and social welfare of seafarers and persons involved in serving the maritime industry. Formally approved by the Holy See in 1922, it is under the direction of the Pontifical Commission for Migrants and Tourism.
