The war(s) on women

So I guess all Americans face a choice. If you're not prepared to wage all-out war on women's reproductive powers, you're engaged in a war on women.

By the same logic, if you learn that a certain pesticide prevents trees from bearing fruit, and you urge the government not to subsidize sales of that pesticide, does that mean you're making war on apple trees?
