The key to long life?

You may complain that your children are responsible for your grey hair, but at least you’re likely to live long enough to comb it. That’s the gist of a new study, which shows that parents live longer than childless couples.

But then what do you do with your time, when you don’t have diapers to change, meals to prepare, domestic insurrections to quell, laundry to do, homework to supervise, birthday parties to plan, tuition checks to write, soccer games to attend, irate teachers to mollify, bruised adolescent egos to massage, lost toys to find, broken windows to repair, scraped knees to bandage, fishing lines to unsnarl, teenage drivers to instruct, college plans to discuss, weddings to host, and grandchildren to spoil? Frankly, I wonder whether the lives of childless couples seem longer.
