No, no, Diogenes. I have to defend the city where I was born.
Judge Lopez is charged with lying under oath, misleading the public, and unprofessional conduct-- in a case involving someone else's sexual perversion. And she's facing a likely 6-month suspension.
Whereas just a few years ago, the President of the United States was guilty of lying under oath, misleading the public, and unprofessional conduct-- in a case involving his own sexual perversion. And the US Senate decided that he should remain in office.
You're absolutely right that things are out of whack in Boston. (For proof, check the voting returns from the Senate election in 2000.) But in this case you'd better look for the cause somewhere else.
