Here's what's making news on Catholic blogs today:

• Mark Shea asks whether a faithful celibate man who struggles with same-sex attraction can be ordained. Readers reply in the comments and Mark prints some other replies as well.
• John Schultz discusses the "boutique parish," the "perfect" place where everybody knows your name, versus "St. Astrodome," the impersonal mega-parish where every trick in the book is tried to foster a sense of "community."
• Amy Welborn has an extended discussion on being "Catholic without qualifiers," i.e. conservative Catholic, progressive, liberal, orthodox, etc. The discussion begins here and continues here, here, here, here , and here. Some those links are just references to comments on other blogs about the topic. Amy seems to have really set off a large discussion.
• Here is a personal blog by an American priest serving in a mission in the Dominican Republic. It's an interesting look at daily life for a First World priest in a Third World country. Especially interesting is his use of technology of various kinds to communicate with friends and family back home.
• The Mighty Barrister has the story of "Super Priest" who came to rescue of a woman being carjacked.
