Ted Turner and the tilt toward coercive population-control plans

December 07, 2010

Media mogul Ted Turner has encouraged world leaders to adopt an international norm restricting families to just one child. He claims this step is necessary to global survival.

Why confuse your preconceived notions with facts? Ted Turner and many others stick with the lies of decades ago because to look at reality would require a shift in their value system.

Maybe it's about time that I change my name. Ted T.

Not to mention that Turner and his ilk are at least a decade behind on the demographics. Birth rates and fertility rates are down substantially worldwide. Several nations have begun to encourage an increase in the birth rate, since they're already seeing precipitous drops in populations, or dramatic demographic shifts indicating a rapidly aging population. And, both China and India are now seeing the result of sex-selection abortions: a shortage of marriage-age women. Turner's an ignoramus.
