London court frees man convicted in 'mercy killing' case

A London judge has decided not to impose any prison term on a man who was convicted of smothering his wife, an Alzheimer's patient, while she struggled for air. The sympathetic judge said: "The last thing that you had wanted to do was this and you had clearly dedicated yourself to your wife's welfare."
