Pope’s prayer intention for October: for mental health ministry
October 01, 2026
Pope Leo XIV’s prayer intention for October 2026 is “let us pray that the mental health ministry be established throughout the Church, helping to overcome the stigma and discrimination of persons with mental illnesses.”
The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, which disseminates the monthly papal prayer intentions, also releases videos associated with the intentions on the network’s YouTube channel, The Pope Video. The video associated with the October prayer intention will be released later today.
