Italian nun who won song competition leaves religious life

CWN Editor's Note: Cristina Scuccia, who won a televised singing competition in 2014 as “Suor Cristina,” has left religious life.

Sister Cristina won international fame with her pop-music performances. But she now concedes that her celebrity caused difficulties for her religious vocation. She is now working as a waitress, and continuing her musical pursuits.
