National abortion ban would be constitutional, legal scholars reason

CWN Editor's Note: In a letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal, criticizing an editorial in that paper, legal scholars Robert George and Josh Craddock argue that federal legislation to ban abortion would be allowable under the US Constitution.
The 14th Amendment guarantees “the equal protection of the laws” to “any person,” the scholars observe. An unborn child is a person.
