CWN Editor's Note: The US Supreme Court has declined to hear a bid by Yeshiva University to block the enforcement of a state order requiring the school to grant official recognition to a homosexual student group.

By a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court ruled that a temporary stay on the New York order should be lifted, because the university had not yet exhausted its options for redress in the state courts. However, the ruling also indicated that Yeshiva could renew its appeal to the Supreme Court if and when those options are exhausted.
