CWN Editor's Note: The Denver archdiocese has released a statement warning the faithful about various churches and chapels that appear to be Catholic but are not affiliated with the archdiocese. In 13 such places, the archdiocese warns, the services—“while they may have the semblance of being authentic celebrations of the Mass, are in fact, not; they are invalid and illicit.” The statement adds a caution about two chapels administered by the Society of St. Pius XII—where “the society’s priests are validly ordained, they have not been given permission to exercise their ministry.”
