CWN Editor's Note: “Every October in the United States the Church celebrates this value through a month-long Respect Life Month observance with the first Sunday of October being Respect Life Sunday,” write the members of the Diocese of Lexington’s LGBT Outreach Commission. “The question remains: do Catholics value all life or just some life?”

The commission’s members conclude, “All life is sacred, and all life deserves to be welcomed, defended, celebrated, and affirmed in their own community of believers with open arms.”
