Belgian Franciscan named archbishop in Iran

CWN Editor's Note: Father Dominique Mathieu, OFM, has been named Archbishop of Teheran-Ispahan, Iran, filling a post that had been vacant since 2014. The archdiocese is the only Latin-rite Catholic see in the country, serving about 2,000 faithful, mostly foreigners living in Iran.
