CWN Editor's Note: On May 6, Pope Francis began a series Wednesday general audiences on prayer; during August and September, he temporarily interrupted that series to speak on the theme of healing the world. On October 14 (video), he began, “As we read the Bible, we continually come across prayers of various types. But we also find a book made up solely of prayers, a book that has become the native land, gymnasium and home of countless men and women of prayer. It is the Book of Psalms.”
