Papal preacher warns priests against 'frantic activity' in 1st Advent meditation

In the first of a weekly series of Advent sermons, the preacher of the Pontifical Household, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, cautioned priests against “frantic activity” and reminded them that they are “servants of God’s mysteries.” The Advent meditations are traditionally preached on each of the Fridays of Advent; this year's sermons are geared toward the Year for Priests. Pope Benedict XVI and his staff attended the sermon, which was delivered in the Redemptoris Mater chapel of the apostolic palace.

    Well, most of the priests of my acquaintance are in no danger of committing the sin of frantic activity, at least.
