CWN Editor's Note: In a pastoral letter released on September 6, the Catholic bishops of the Central African Republic said that although they see “signs of hope” in the process toward a democratic society, the continued military conflict “threatens the future of the country.” The bishops estimated that “70% or even 80% of our country is occupied by armed groups.”
