Wisconsin bishop urges resistance as county closes schools

CWN Editor's Note: Bishop Donald Hying of Madison, Wisconsin, says he is “extraordinarily disappointed” in a decision by Dane County officials to close all schools. The bishop urged parents to protest the move. Bishop Hying said that Catholic schools were prepared to open, and had coordinated plans closely with public officials; he protested the decision to close schools just before they were scheduled to open.
