US Catholics petition bishops to make sacraments available

CWN Editor's Note: A group of prominent Catholic teachers and writers (including CWN editor Phil Lawler) have issued a plea to American bishops, asking them to do everything possible to bring the sacraments to the faithful during Holy Week and Easter. The petition, drafted by moral theologian Janet Smith, has been signed by well over 10,000 American Catholics.
