CWN Editor's Note: Going beyond even a sweeping government order, the Catholic bishops of England and Wales have announced that all Catholic churches must be closed. The order by Prime Minister Boris Johnson had allowed for churches to remain open “for solitary prayer.” But Cardinal Vincent Nichols of Westminster said that prayer in churches is “not essential.” England’s leading prelate added: video, “Closing churches is the right thing to do to save lives.”
