Notorious abuser Paquette grants interview

Edward Paquette, who molested boys in three dioceses between the 1950s and the 1970s and was defrocked in April, has apologized to his victims in a newspaper interview. “I’m very apologetic and I’m very sorry,” he said. Paquette’s abuse has cost the Diocese of Burlington-- Vermont’s sole diocese-- over $13 million in settlements and trial judgments.
