CWN Editor's Note: Sources Chrétiennes is a series of texts of the Fathers of the Church, published in the original languages with a French translation. Three Jesuit priests—Fathers Jean Daniélou, Henri de Lubac, and Claude Mondésert—launched the series in 1942. Two of them (Fathers Daniélou and de Lubac) were later named cardinals.
