Nigerian priest kidnapped

CWN Editor's Note: A Catholic priest was kidnapped in southern Nigeria on Saturday evening, September 1, as he traveled to a parish where he was scheduled to celebrate Sunday Mass. The kidnappers have reportedly demanded a ransom of $400,000. Earlier this year the Nigerian bishops’ conference denounced the “plague of kidnappings for ransom.”
