The UN refugee agency released its annual report and stated that “leading the displacement during the year [2017] was the crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the war in South Sudan and the flight into Bangladesh from Myanmar of hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees.”

    We can thank President Trump that the "Arab spring" has died a well-deserved death. We can also thank him, President Bashar al-Assad, President Vladimir Putin, and the Catholic and Orthodox prelates in Syria and Iraq for their leadership in reversing the exodus from these too-besieged countries.
