Patriarch Kirill of Moscow told an Albanian audience that all faiths should unite to fight terrorism. But Metropolitan Hilarion, the chief public-affairs spokesman for the Moscow patriarchate, said that unity with Catholics is impossible because of “too many contradictions and misunderstandings.”
