CWN Editor's Note: Pope Francis suppressed the apostolic vicariate of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, two French islands off the coast of Newfoundland, and entrusted the pastoral care of the territory’s residents to a French diocese. The Pontiff accepted the resignation of the apostolic vicar for reasons of age. He also appointed an apostolic nuncio in Armenia, accepted the resignation of a Costa Rican bishop for reasons of age, and appointed a successor.
