English, Scottish prelates issue statement on 50th anniversary of Abortion Act

CWN Editor's Note: The Catholic bishops of England, Wales, and Scotland have released a statement lamenting the nearly 200,000 abortions performed annually in their lands and the “very inadequate understanding of free choice” that dominates rhetoric on the topic. The statement is signed by Cardinal Vincent Nichols and Archbishop Philip Tartaglia—the presidents, respectively, of the bishops’ conferences of England and Wales and of Scotland.
