Preparations continue for next Synod meeting
November 23, 2016
The Ordinary Council of the Synod of Bishops met in Rome this week, to continue preparations for the next meeting of the Synod, which will be held in October 2018 and will be devoted to “youth, faith, and vocational discernment.”
At the two-day meeting, November 21 and 22, the council worked on proposed amendments to the preparatory document that has been drafted by the office of the Synod of Bishops. The document—which includes a questionaire—will be circulated among the world’s bishops for their comments before being molded into the working document for the Synod sessions.
