Scottish archdiocese announces interactive PDA app to find Mass, Confession
November 22, 2016
Archbishop Leo Cushley of Edinburgh, Scotland, has announced the development of a smart-phone app that will enable users to be guided by GPS to the nearest Catholic church where Mass or Confession is available.
“The Catholic App” is being developed by the Edinburgh archdiocse in conjunction with the Musemantik software firm. It will be available early next year.
“This is a little bit of smart technology that could make a big impact on how the Catholic Church brings the mercy of God and the joy of the Gospel to our contemporary world,” said Archbishop Cushley.
