Van Eyck altarpiece partly restored

The first part of a three-part restoration of Hubert and Jan van Eyck’s famed Ghent Altarpiece has been completed.
The restored portions of the 15th-century work, also known as the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, were unveiled in St. Bavo’s Cathedral in Ghent, Belgium, on October 12.
