Haitian priest: hurricane had ‘catastrophic’ effect

The director of Caritas Haiti said that Hurricane Matthew had a “catastrophic” effect on the nation.
“There have been deaths from drowning and collapsed buildings,” said Father Jean-Hervé François. “Some communities are under water. Many buildings are damaged. People have lost everything.”
