Florida couple on trial over Christmas display in lawn
September 29, 2016
The city of Plantation, Florida, has taken a couple to court for refusing to reduce the size of the Christmas display in their front lawn.
The display includes 200,000 lights, according to a local newspaper report.
City officials contend that the display, in attracting visitors, creates traffic hazards; Mark and Kathy Hyatt cite their religious freedom and property rights.
