Jamaican prelate: Church will care for babies born with microcephaly

Amid calls for the legalization of abortion for unborn children diagnosed with microcephaly, Jamaica’s leading prelate said that Catholic religious communities are willing to care for any child born with the condition.

Archbishop Kenneth Richards linked the willingness to abort such children to eugenics and prejudice against the disabled, according to a local newspaper report.
