Nuncios appeal for peace

September 20, 2016

Following a three-day meeting in Rome, the Holy See’s nuncios and pontifical representatives issued an appeal for peace.

The nuncios asked world leaders to “work harder and more effectively to stop the violence and find peaceful solutions to conflicts in various parts of the world.”

The nuncios also prayed for, and expressed solidarity with, victims of religious persecution.

Pope Francis joined the nuncios in signing the appeal, according to a Vatican Radio report.
