Courtyard of the Gentiles to examine economy

September 13, 2016

The Courtyard of the Gentiles-- an initiative of the Pontifical Council for Culture begun at the behest of Benedict XVI and directed toward nonbelievers-- is joining with the Italian embassy to the Holy See in sponsoring a conference on economics.

The September 21 conference, entitled “Towards a more humane and just world: a new inclusive economic paradigm in the context of growing inequalities,” will feature economists Angus Deaton, Jean-Paul Fitoussi, and Dominique Van der Mensbrugghe. It will take place at the Palazzo Borromeo in Rome.
