August 25, 2016

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Justin Welby, will meet with Pope Francis on October 8, the Catholic News Agency reports.

The worldwide leader of the Anglican communion will celebrate Vespers with the Pontiff on that day, in the basilica of San Gregorio al Celio, CNA reports.

The Vatican has not yet confirmed the meeting, but informed sources said that the Anglican leader would meet with the Pope during a 2-day visit to Rome.
