August 16, 2016
Turkey’s Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning stated that it will not tear down Armenian churches that Turkey expropriated during a March offensive against Kurdish separatists in Diyarbakir, according to an Armenian media report.
The ministry issued its statement in response to a query from Garo Paylan, an ethnic Armenian member of the Turkish parliament.
