Caritas, other humanitarian agencies appeal for end to Syrian conflict
January 21, 2016
Estimating that 13.5 million people inside Syria need humanitarian assistance, Caritas Internationalis, the Church’s confederation of relief and development agencies, has joined with over 100 other organizations in appealing for an end to the war in Syria.
“We-- leaders of humanitarian organizations and UN agencies-- appeal not only to governments but to each of you-- citizens around the world-- to add your voices in urging an end to the carnage,” the appeal stated.
