Archbishop Wuerl questions Georgetown for hosting event honoring Biden

Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington, DC, wrote to officials at Georgetown University "expressing concern" about an on-campus event in which Vice President Joseph Biden was honored by a group that supports legal abortion. The Washington archdiocese noted that Georgetown itself was not giving the award to Biden, but the archbishop was concerned about "the confusion that happens by having an event by entities that are at odds with Catholic teaching."
