China makes new 2-child policy official

Making official a change announced two months ago, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress has amended China’s brutal population control law to permit couples to have up to two children.

“China will fully implement the policy of ‘one couple, two children’ in a proactive response to the issue of an aging population,” China’s Communist Party said in an October statement.
