Benedict XVI testifies for beatification of Pope John Paul I

Pope-emeritus Benedict XVI has given testimony for the cause of beatification of Pope John Paul I, the Italian journal Famiglia Cristiana reports.

Elected in 1978 to succeed Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul I, born Albino Luciani, served as Roman Pontiff for just 33 days before his sudden death.
