The Russian Orthodox Diocese of Chersonese (Korsun) in France has reached an agreement with the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Paris to hold a weekly Lenten prayer service there, according to the Interfax news agency.
During the service, which will take place on Fridays, the Akathist-- a Marian hymn beloved by Eastern Catholics and Orthodox alike-- will be sung before an icon of the Mother of God.
