Iran: 80-lash sentence meted out on Christians who consumed communion wine

Two of the four Iranian evangelical Christians who were recently convicted on charges of consuming alcohol have received their 80-lash sentence.
The four had consumed communion wine during a church service.
One of them, Behzad Taalipasand, was whipped “with extreme violence,” according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide, which monitors the persecution of Christians.
